I was very pleased with the choice of this hotel. It exceeded my expectations. I came for the Cambridge debates and it turned out that I was only 10 minutes away from the venue. I had a beautiful room overlooking the park and a beautiful sunset was right in front of me. A river, a bridge. I love such quiet places away from the noisy tourist streets. The hotel was well decorated for Christmas, and at breakfast there was a beautiful terrace. Everything was very clean and wonderful, helpful people work there. And yes, it was very nice to have the care taken of my stay - I was sent a very nice letter with offers from the hotel. Such a good feeling that you will be met here as you should

The hotel was even better than we expected! It’s in a great location close to the city centre and has the added bonus of a big car park which we were able to park in prior to check in. Our room was listed as a ‘small bedroom’ but it was a great size and it was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The public areas were comfortable and the conservatory was lovely to sit and relax with our continental breakfast - which was included in the price. Staff were very friendly and helpful We would definitely stay again if we returned to Cambridge.

Pauline

The location of the property was marvellous, close to the centre of Cambridge, we were able to park at the property for a fee of £18 per night which is a lot cheaper than public car parks in the area. The cost of the hotel was less than the regular chain hotels which although modern always lack character and comfort. The hotel provided a map of the town which made it easy to find our way around. The hotel is just by the river so ideal for evening walks along there and opposite one of the large green areas which was lovely to walk through.

Roland

Chose this hotel because it is an easy walk to the centre and has a huge car park. If you book through an agent you do pay the extra for the car park but it is still pretty cheap overall. So, obviously, the decor is a bit tired and dated, but if you were brought up in the 80s, it's a nice opportunity to reminisce! If you expect 5 star luxury and service you may be a little disappointed, but if you want a cheap place to stay, with good heating, comfortable beds and very quiet nights - this place fits the bill.

Mark

Room 227 - very comfortable bed. Clean room apart from the edges of furniture which had a clear line of dust. Plenty of wardrobe space. Location was further than I expected from the station but still a gentle flat walk. Plenty of choice for breakfast. Serving staff very polite
